Professor John Van Reenen was invited to give the laudation in honour of David Autor's distinguised CES fellow award.
Since 1994, the Center for Economic Studies (CES) has annually named the Distinguished CES Fellow—one of the most prestigious awards in economics. Many recipients, recognized in Munich for their exceptional contributions to the field, have gone on to receive the Nobel Prize in Economics.
In 2025, CES honors another internationally outstanding economist, Prof. David Autor, Ph.D. as its Distinguished CES Fellow.
David Autor will deliver the 2025 Munich Lecture on "Expertise, Artificial Intelligence, and Work of the Future". More information about the lecture and the ceremony at LMU-CES.
